When Thunderbird opened its doors 46 years ago, the name “Nursery School” was the most common name given to schools that specialized in education for three and four-year olds. Today, we more commonly call these schools “preschools”.

So, when we celebrated our 35th anniversary, we changed our name from Thunderbird Nursery School, Inc. to Thunderbird Preschool, Inc. “Nursery School” spoke of our long tradition of providing excellence in early childhood education and “Preschool” speaks of our continued commitment to provide the best early children education possible into the future !!
